Pre-treatment
Pre-treatment utilises standard methods of mechanical cleaning and primary treatment, adapted to local conditions. The focus here is on impurities, organic solids, organic and mineral flotates, and optional conditioning, for example, pH correction or nutrient dosing. Peak loads are buffered before entering the biological tank.
During pre-sedimentation, food waste, faeces and other undissolved substances settle as primary sludge and are removed from the wastewater. Flotates can also be removed.
Other pre-treatment options include sedimentation ponds, fine screens, dosing systems, grease traps, accumulation and various forms of buffering tanks.
Depending on the requirements, the appropriate system is chosen and the plant assembled using custom-made components:
